How do you feel that you have benefited from the online community in this course?

This course has made me more comfortable with the way students interact in an online course. Before now I had never used a blog or wiki. I actually didn't even know what a wiki was. I have used voice threads in another course and loved it! I think it is a great way for students to communicate. I am still getting used to discussion boards, but as time goes on I feel it will be like second nature to me. I have always been more comfortable communicating when I do not feel like I am being watched and judged while I am "speaking." Thank you for introducing me to these methods and forcing me out of my comfort zone to use them.

Week 2 Blog

How Realistic do you think it will be for you to adhere to a schedule in order to devote the time necessary to complete the required work in your online courses? What measures will you take to ensure that this happens?

I have found a basic schedule that works for me. I work nights so the hours sound a bit insane. I get home by 8 am start looking at my email and begin my homework, then get to bed by 2pm. On two days a week I have and actual class on campus at 11am, after work I head straight to school and work in the computer lab until class. When I follow my schedule most of my homework is done by Thursday and then I get some free time.
